Founded in 2006 in the Greek city of Kavala, located in Imaret and in the house of Mohammed Ali Pasha of Egypt, the Mohammed Ali Research Center (MOHA) is a civic, non-profit, non-governmental organization, recognized by the Greek State as a Research Center (Article 3(2) Law No. 4310/2014). MOHA’s objective is the systematic study, recording, documentation and maintenance of the cultural diversity, which is found in the modern world and in the wider area of the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Throught educational programs, artistic events, and social interventions, MOHA aims to praise the islamic civilization and its valuable contribution to the sciences and the art of the modern world.
MOHA’s activities are dedicated to researching and popularizing humanity sciences, the scientific inventions and technological innovations of the Islamic Golden Age in a strictly non-religious, non-political environment.
